Tuesday 29 October saw the Casais Group and developer MPSP welcoming the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro to Fábrica 390, a multi-purpose development with 50 apartments of various types which will also be the new base for the IMP Diagnostics laboratory of the IMP Group. Situated in a prime location within the city’s urban fabric, Fábrica 390 features architectural design by OODA, a mural by the artist Vhills, and construction by Casais Construction.
The development is located close to the seafront, the Doca-Pesca and the entrance to the Port of Leixões. Previously the century-old “A Varina” canning factory, it is now a residential and commercial development with a fabulous view of the ocean. Because of its location, this complex also enjoys a strong connection to the community.
The IMP Group’s laboratory will occupy an area of around 3,000 m2, in a multi-purpose growth project that will bring more than 100 highly qualified jobs to the city. IMP Diagnostics is the largest diagnostic laboratories group in Portugal, specialising in molecular and anatomical pathology.
The visit by Mayor Luísa Salgueiro, in the company of José Mário Fernandes from the Casais Group, was the perfect opportunity to tell the mayor all about this construction project and its architectural features and how it contributes to the development of the city.
“We pride ourselves on building high-quality residential complexes that accommodate a range of services beneficial to the whole community. The installation of the IMP laboratory at Fábrica 390 is a milestone for the entire region and a positive sign,” says António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of the Casais Group.
