About Casais Group

How old is Casais Group? What are your main sectors of activity?

The Casais Group has been operating for more than 60 years in the Engineering and Construction sector. And it has expanded its area of action in the last few years. Today, in addition to Engineering & Construction, the Group is present in the Specialties & Industry and Promotion & Asset Management sectors.
The Construir awards considered us, for the 4th consecutive year, the best construction company in Portugal. These awards praise companies with know-how built from mastery and rigour in national and international markets. It maintains the family nature with which it was initially created, which translates into more than 60 years of strategic, ethical, and professional principles that have dictated its success over time and in the various market areas, through rational management and compliance with deadlines and objectives.

Does Casais Group have an international presence?

The internationalization process of Casais Group began in 1994, with its entrance in Germany. Today, internationalization is key to the Group's development, accounting for more than 80 per cent of global turnover.
Based on the adaptation to the local culture and privileging strategic partnerships for a solid presence, the performance of the Casais Group extends to 17 markets: Portugal, Germany, Angola, Algeria, Belgium, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, Spain, United States of America, France, Ghana, Gibraltar, Netherlands, Morocco, Mozambique, Qatar and the United Kingdom.
We intend to maintain continuous and sustained growth in the Portuguese market. We also want to consolidate our presence in foreign countries we already operate and invest our effort in entering other countries' markets.

What is the vision and purpose of Casais Group?

Casais Group has as its vision to be a reference of knowledge and solidity in the Engineering and Construction area, working daily to build its clients' vision and a better tomorrow.

Sustainability strategy and impact

What are the guiding axes of the Sustainability and Impact Strategy of Casais Group?

In the "Manifesto for Sustainability and Building a Better Tomorrow!" we define our goals and action plan for the future. We are driven by initiatives that ensure the development of the value chain, seeking that investments promote and strengthen sustainability in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) dimensions. Does Casais Group have any partnership concerning sustainability?

Recently, Casais Group became CREE's authorized partner for Portugal. The contract was signed by António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of Casais Group, Hubert Rhomberg, CEO and Co-founder of CREE, Volker Weissenberger, Director of Global Licensing of CREE and Paulo Carapuça, Administrator of the Board of Directors of Casais Group. Casais Group has exclusive access to a brand-new digital medium to develop and construct sustainable buildings for its clients and partners.

Covid-19 Response Measures

How is the Casais Group responding to the challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic?

At Casais Group we are aware of the challenge that the epidemic outbreak COVID-19 brought to each us and our families. Therefore we are deeply committed to taking all necessary measures to safeguard the safety, health and welfare of our employees, clients, partners and society. In this way, and to ensure security regarding the risks of contagion within our Community, we have created a Management Committee that has implemented a wide range of measures and actions in the Organization.

What is Casais Group's position on issues such as cultural diversity and equal opportunities?
