On 5 and 6 January 2026, the 16th Annual Management Meeting of Grupo Casais, The Big Meeting (TBM), took place under the theme “Simplifying with Purpose”.
Simplifying with Purpose
The event brought together 800 employees at Forum Braga and was broadcast live on the Group’s internal channels, reinforcing its central role as a moment of strategic alignment, knowledge sharing and inspiration for the year ahead, across the entire organisation.
The theme of this edition challenged the whole organisation to rethink processes, habits and priorities, promoting a culture of intelligent efficiency, focus on what truly matters and decision-making with impact. Simplification was presented not as reduction, but as clarification, creating space for innovation, collaboration and sustainable growth.
5 January
The opening session featured addresses by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Grupo Casais, José da Silva Fernandes, and the CEO, António Carlos Rodrigues, who welcomed participants and reinforced the importance of responsible, focused action aligned with the Group’s global strategy.
During the first day, the winners of the Mestre Casais Awards 2025 were announced, recognising projects and teams that stood out in the areas of engineering, innovation, industrialisation and management processes. This was followed by the presentation of the 2025 Results and Financial Performance, led by Executive Board Member Carlos Rocha, as well as the sharing of several case studies demonstrating the practical application of industrialisation, energy efficiency and technological innovation across different geographies and business contexts.
The programme also included moments of reflection and debate, moderated by Isabel Paiva de Sousa, the presentation of organisational changes and the objectives and outlook for 2026 by António Carlos Rodrigues, and a roundtable discussion bringing together members of the Executive Committee for a joint reflection on the essence of simplifying with purpose within the context of Grupo Casais.
In 2025, we reached a turnover of EUR 1 billion. We can see this figure as a vote of confidence from our clients. Every euro represents a conscious choice to work with us. In total, one billion choices that confirm relevance, credibility and increased responsibility.
— António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of Grupo Casais
The day concluded with a musical performance by Tiago Bettencourt.
6 January
The morning began with a Morning Run promoted by ACGC, fostering team spirit and togetherness, followed by a programme marked by high-value internal and external contributions.
Highlights included the keynote address by António Rios Amorim, CEO of Corticeira Amorim, who demonstrated how a 156-year-old company continues to reinvent itself through governance, operational discipline and applied R&D, while protecting its most critical asset: raw material and the forest ecosystem that sustains it. This was followed by reflections on the purposeful use of artificial intelligence by Pedro Amorim, Partner at LTPlabs; digital transformation by Jorge Batista, Founder and Board Member of Fundação Primavera; and organisational culture by Pedro Oliveira (Casais Industries) and Margarida Anselmo (Casais Capital).
Topics such as internal career paths within the Group, the importance of open dialogue and critical thinking were also addressed, reinforcing collective learning and the sharing of diverse perspectives.
The afternoon session opened with the challenge to “Question certainty”, launched by Leandro Morgado, followed by a rethinking of the approach to industrialisation of construction systems through a guided exploration of Porsche Consulting processes, presented through the perspective of Roland Sitzberger: moving from projects to products, with modular structures, standardised processes, customer focus and earlier “design freeze” to achieve greater control, predictability and scale.
This was followed by a live Q&A session with colleagues from Grupo Casais in a Vox Pop format. The event concluded with António Carlos Rodrigues taking the stage to launch the final challenge for the year:
We have a market.
We have direction and a plan.
We have people. And we have something even more important: the strategic asset of the Era of Imagination. The ability to connect knowledge, creativity, engineering and execution to build solutions that do not yet exist, but which the world already needs.
Tomorrow, we move forward with ambition and responsibility. Simplifying, when done with purpose, does not reduce. It elevates.
— António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of Grupo Casais
Simplifying is not about doing less. It is about clarifying priorities, elevating decisions and building better, with purpose.
