The eleventh edition of Get Together – Out of the Box, held at Forum Braga, brought together around 150 participants in person and online to celebrate the creativity and innovation of Casais Group employees. This annual get-together, themed around the exchange of disruptive ideas, underscored the company’s commitment to building a sustainable and innovative future.
The event was also energised by Norberto Amaral, who spoke about the radical, fast-paced presentation format called IGNITE. This challenging format involves a 5-minute presentation using 20 slides – that’s one slide automatically advancing every 15 seconds. This was followed by the usual time and space set aside for knowledge sharing and innovation, during which eleven projects were presented:
- Ceramic 3D printing for the CREE system – João Carvalho and Pedro Andrade
- Geopolymer concrete – Isaac Oliveira
- The AlojAR accommodation mission – Bruno Silva and Valter Costa
- DataBox – Andrea Perez and Leidy Acela
- Eventura – Davide Razão
- Tiny House School – Ricardo Gonçalves
- KREAR and ACCESS+ – Davide Razão
- From the invisible to the perceptible – Ana Simões, Fábio Gonçalves, Jairo Picott and Pedro Henriques
- Podcast: Convergent innovation – Margarida Silva
- RetOff – João Moreira
- (Big) Grid opportunities – Adriana Gomes
Commendations and Awards
The jury panel for the event singled out two projects for their specific merits:
- Communication Prize: The AlojAR accommodation mission – Bruno Silva and Valter Costa
- Innovation Prize: Tiny House School – Ricardo Gonçalves
The overall winners of the Get Together Award were:
1st Prize: The AlojAR accommodation mission – Bruno Silva and Valter Costa
2nd Prize: DataBox – Andrea Perez and Leidy Acela
3rd Prize: Ceramic 3D printing for the CREE system – João Carvalho and Pedro Andrade
A Commitment to Transformation
Get Together Out of the Box 2024 reaffirmed the Casais Group’s commitment to valuing the ideas and talent of its employees. Much more than an in-house event, this is a space where innovation and collaboration converge to generate impact, not only within the organisation, but also in society.
“The daring, creative spirit of ingenuity of our people is the engine that drives us into the future,” said António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of the Casais Group.
As another Get Together edition came to a close, it was generally agreed that with everyone’s knowledge, support, and collaboration, we have contributed to a better, more sustainable future.
