On September 19th, the Administrator of the Casais Group, Paulo Carapuça, participated in the official ceremony for the delivery of the work of the Portuguese Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai.
The work, which is in charge of Casais in partnership with Saraiva + Associados, was designed under the slogan “A World in One Country” and is inserted in the sustainability district, one of the three in which Expo 2020 is divided in Dubai.
The Pavilion of Portugal, a concept store surrounded by an extensive Portuguese sidewalk called the Square, invokes a Caravel, a symbol of Portugal’s connection to the world. For António Carlos Rodrigues, CEO of the Casais Group, the project “allied the architecture proposal with Saraiva + Associados and the Casais construction know-how to deliver a pavilion that symbolizes the spirit of conquest that took the Portuguese caravels on an adventure through the unknown world”.
The Portuguese participation will take place between October 1st, 2021 and March 31st, 2022, in the Middle East.
