Today, July 7, 2022, the foundation stone of the B&B Olhão Hotel was laid. The partnership Casais/Sunny brings to the city a project of about 6 million euros, whose signature is the responsibility of the architect José Mário Fernandes. This investment value also includes the renovation of the Ria Shopping, where this new hotel unit is integrated. Olhão will receive, in 2023 spring of next year, a 3-star hotel unit, from the B&B Hotels Group, with a capacity for 89 rooms.
The architect José Mário Fernandes, executive director of the Casais Group, António Pina, Mayor of Olhão and Torcato Faria, Country Manager of B&B Portugal were at this event.
For the architect “The bet in the tourism sector is fundamental when we talk about a country with unique characteristics. This will certainly be one of the sectors with the highest growth potential and the Casais Group will certainly be following this growth. Besides, projects like the B&B Hotel Olhão are a living example of the type of relationship that the Casais Group intends to establish with its clients. We seek to offer, from the project development stage, solutions that will allow the execution of the work with greater fluidity, meeting the objectives and vision of the client. Together, we seek to create constructive solutions that offer a balance between quality and functionality, with special focus on issues related to operation and maintenance. At a time of shortage of qualified resources, this is the only solution that guarantees the satisfaction of all parties involved in a construction projecto.”
The Casais Group has been following what is already pointed out, by many, as the year of the recovery of the tourism sector, investing in projects in the sector, which will materialize until 2023.
The constructionwill be the 6th hotel of the B&B Hotels Group in Portugal, a chain that arrived in 2018 to the Portuguese market and currently has 17 hotel units already in operation or under construction, and a strong pipeline of units under licensing that will allow in 2023 to be, in Portugal, segment leader Budget & Economy.
